Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our process plant maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a tradesperson to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

About the Role

This FIFO position involves carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities, inspecting work areas for hazards, and promoting safe work practices. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality work, adhering to procedures, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspecting workplaces for hazards and promoting safe work practices
  • Safely and effectively performing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring adherence to work procedures and protocols
  • Supporting team members as needed and referring unresolved issues to supervisors
  • Participating in operational requirements within scope of training and skills

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in a mechanical field and relevant competency certificates
  • Relevant tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, EWP & Crane, Dogging, Rigging highly regarded
  • Basic/Intermediate scaffolding ticket an advantage (or willing to undertake training)
  • WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated post-trade experience in mining or heavy industry within a process plant environment
  • Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems
