This role is designed to ensure that our participants achieve their goals of becoming Indepenedent and can live their best lives.

The Team Leader will be responsible for the daily running of the Supported Independent Living house, as well as mentoring, coordinating, and providing ethical leadership to your team. You will be responsible for but not limited to rostering, managing, incident compliance, and building a good rapport with the internal and external stakeholders. As a result, you will see both residents and the team achieving their goals.

**Responsibilities**:
Strong understanding of the NDIS, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals and their families/carers.

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support needs of our participants.

A strong understanding to Sahara company values and the ability to provide ethical leadership

Proven experience implementing and executing initiatives, for example, budgets, meal plans, and rosters.

The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with Senior Managers, colleagues, consumers, and stakeholders in a prompt, articulate and respectful manner.

Strong administrative skills ensuring the accuracy of processes and documents.

Maintaining financial and administrative records and providing this information as and when required.

Manages the day-to-day operations of one or two supported accommodation or STA

Develop Person Centred Plans, Risk assessments, Support Plans, and Service Agreements for the participants

Provide Active Support to Participants in a manner which gives Participants as much control and independence as possible without compromising Sahara Services duty of care to the Participants

Accurately document Participants programs in accordance with organisation policies

Proactively manage complaints, feedback, and incident as per the Sahara Services policies and Procedures.

Manages team rostering, establishment, leave and payroll requirements.

On Call - provide after hours emergency support to staff within a rostered-on call function.

A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, decision making, and balancing priorities

Essential Criteria

Extensive relevant industry experience (e.g. Support Worker)

A current Working with Children Check

NDIS Worker Check (or willing to apply)

Current First Aid Certificate

NSW Drivers Licence with your own comprehensively insured car

Certificate IV in Disability Services
