We are looking for an experienced and disciplined SIL Team Leader to join our dedicated SIL Support Teams in:

- _Oran Park, NSW_
- _Edmondson Park, NSW_

As SIL Team Leader with Vital Care Accommodation and Respite, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily living skills, assisting with social and recreational activities, implementing and monitoring practices that will promote a healthier lifestyle, empowering participants to help them achieve their goals, and providing direct training and managing other support workers. The role will involve working with participants with both low and complex needs, some may need assistance with medication prompts and others may show complex behaviours. An individual who resonates professionalism while maintaining a vibrant, committed and compassionate work ethic. That is who we are and that is what we do

Your key duties and responsibilities within the role will include:

- Managing a team of multiple support workers and ensuring that all policies and procedures are put into place to ensure smooth running of SIL houses.
- Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their family and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth flow of service delivery throughout the course of the participant's plan.
- Assist with liaising with participants family and friends to explore new goals, ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals and provide a medium of strong communication.
- Increase participants skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills, and personal development.
- Provide regular and frequent quality and professional support in line with participants plans, needs, and wants.
- Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle.
- Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills, identify areas of increased support, and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.

Additional roles and responsibilities relating to this role may also include the ability to:

- be responsible for supporting participants with all aspects of their daily living, including personal care and transportation.
- assist participants to engage in social, community and recreational activities in the wider community.
- implementing and monitoring practices that will promote a healthy and nutritional lifestyle.
- support participants requiring a trauma-informed approach and sensitivity training to be implemented into their support services.
- provide, administer or prompt to administer medications as outlined in the participant's Medication Management Plan, organisational policies and procedures and legislated framework.
- Understand and implement a participants individual Behaviour Support Plan into their support service and complete any reporting relating to behavioural incidences.

To maintain Vital Care's reputable name in providing extraordinary support services, our _SIL Team Leaders _are required to possess the following minimum essential criteria to be considered for a position on our team:

- 12 months+ experience in supporting people living with cognitive, psychosocial and physically impaired disabilities in an accommodation-based management position OR substantial experience in a related field
- A current certificate to provide First-Aid - _completed within the last 3 years_
- A current certificate to provide CPR - _completed within the last 12 months_
- National Standard Police Clearance Check - _completed within the last 12 months_
- A current _Working with Children's Check_ (WWCC) - _for paid, unsupervised role_
- A current _NDIS Worker Screening Check_ (NDISWSC)
- A current unrestricted C-class Australian driver licence and comprehensively insured, reliable motor vehicle
- A completed _Certificate III/IV in Disabilities_ or related community services field
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people living with disabilities.
