We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Policy and Program Delivery Group as a Government & Stakeholder Relations Advisor.

Reporting to the General Manager - Policy and Program Delivery, you will be responsible and accountable for driving and fostering PSA's stakeholder engagement by facilitating collaboration and regular engagement with key health stakeholders, including government at a federal level. Including preparing election and budget documents, developing, and implementing federal advocacy plans, briefs, and presentations for the PSA.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in PBS, Pharmacy funding and Commonweath budget processes, as well as high level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liase effectively with pharmacists, other health professionals, Federal and State governments and other professional organisations.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- **Drive PSA's stakeholder engagement by facilitating collaboration and regular engagement with key health stakeholders.**:

- **Drive PSA's government engagement at a federal level through regular engagement with key departmental staff, ministers, senators (and staff).**:

- **Preparation of election and budget documents; maintaining a database of federal ministers, senators (and staff), making appointments with members and senators.**:

- **Develop and implement federal advocacy plan that supports the strategic intent of Policy & Advocacy across the organisation.**:

- **Prepare briefs for and provide advice to the General Manager - Policy and Program Delivery, CEO, National President, PSA Board and Branches on policy, advocacy, and regulatory matters.**:

- **Provide strategic advice and support for commonwealth funded programs for pharmacists**:

- **Assist State and Territory managers to develop and implement state and territory advocacy plans that support the strategic intent of Policy & Advocacy across the organisation.**:

- **Assist the General Manager, CEO, National President and State and Territory Presidents in lobbying activities with members of Parliament, government officials, health stakeholders and industry, including the preparation of briefs, presentations, and events.**

**What we are looking for**:

- **Experience in PBS, Pharmacy funding and Commonwealth budget processes, as well as high level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with pharmacists, other health professionals, Federal and State governments and other professional organisations.**:

- **Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues and opportunities in contemporary pharmacy practice and workforce development federally.**:

- **Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited guidance and as part of a team using motivation and initiative;**:

- **Proven ability to build, facilitate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and positively influence outcomes;**:

- **Proven organisation and time management skills to manage a complex workload and competing priorities to achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines;**:
