You will develop and implement sales strategies to maximise rooms and food & beverage revenue, achieve sales goals, and support the hotel's commercial objectives.
You will lead the Sales team and develop integrated sales strategies to maximise market share, strengthen brand positioning, and drive sustainable revenue growth across all channels.
Your leadership will build a high-performing team and foster a culture of excellence, accountability and commercial success.
You will ensure sales and marketing strategies are set, tactical plans are created and executed, and results are monitored.
Build, motivate and lead an effective sales and marketing team.A little taste of your day-to-dayDevelopment and preparation of the annual business plan, operating budget, monthly reports and sales forecastsLead the Commercial team and foster a positive work environmentProvide mentoring, coaching and regular performance feedback to improve team performance, reward achievements, develop succession plans and identify high potentialsUnderstand long-range forecast of the business and what tactical measures and pricing strategies are required to meet budgeted revenue targetsTarget new business conversion for assigned segments to meet and exceed revenue and profit targetsDevelop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to generate groups and/or convention business, including room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet servicesLead tactical campaigns to secure new business, create an ongoing pipeline, and shift business from the competition through customer engagementCollaborate with Cluster Marketing to drive up-selling of hotel services, offerings, and amenitiesMonitor progress toward sales goals and adjust actions as necessaryMonitor competitor practices and trends to keep products and services ahead of the competitionAttend leadership team and revenue/yield meetingsSupport and drive sales initiatives for each property with client entertainment, familiarisations, and other eventsProduce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current and potential market and sales trendsDrive revenue through targeted campaigns for designated segments and manage a robust sales pipelineWhat We Need From YouMust have unrestricted, full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available)Minimum of 2–3 years' experience leading a high-performing sales team within the hotel sectorDemonstrated ability to consistently exceed ambitious sales targets and contribute to sustained business growthProficient in industry-standard systems (e.g., Delphi, I-Know reporting, MeetingBroker)Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholdersProven leadership in motivating and managing successful sales teams with a culture of performance and accountabilityUniversity qualifications in business or a related disciplineHighly organised with strong time management skills, able to perform under pressure and manage competing prioritiesThrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating resilience and adaptabilityWhat You Can Expect From UsWe offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits designed to help you live your best work life, including laundry for business attire, room discounts, and discounts on products and services.
