Job Opportunity
A Risk & Control Officer role involves a central hub for key business analysis, demonstrating governance and oversight for all business / functional areas.
The Risk & Control Analyst reviews and documents internal processes and controls to ensure adequate oversight & compliance of corporate policy within the 1st Line of Defence.
The individual adopts a structured and investigative approach to their workload and presents information in a clear, comprehensive manner, both verbal and written.
Key Responsibilities
Leverage the risk management framework to enhance dashboards, reporting & key operational risk management tools.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of a comprehensive control's library reflecting all key controls by identifying control gaps communicating rectification controls.
Manage 1LOD responsibilities relevant to the Operational Risk Framework.
Initiative is required, managing all aspects of objectives and projects through to completion.
Essential Skills
Relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
Leadership, influence, and negotiation with a team and/or senior management to drive change.
Collaborative, proactive, and responsive mind-set.
Experience with auditing, risk management (to include non-financial and financial risk) and/or control/compliance testing would be beneficial.
A highly motivated and organized individual is required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
A high degree of autonomy and independence is required, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
