Our client seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team for a fixed period. Reporting to the Director of Legal, you will be a trusted advisor and provide high-quality legal advice.
Job Description:
The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance on capital transactions, market processes, development activities, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. You will also develop and structure transactions, educate project teams and stakeholders on legal aspects, manage external lawyers and probity advisors, and assist in training and mentoring lawyers and paralegals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in law and admission in New South Wales
Substantial experience in property and/or construction law, drafting and negotiating complex property and project documentation
High-level written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders
Exposure to construction, planning, tax, and litigation within the property development context
