Technical Specialist – Networks Parramatta CBD | 8-Month Contract |

Are you an experienced Network Specialist looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Technical Specialist – Networks to join a large-scale government program and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of critical communications infrastructure.

This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly contribute to seamless connectivity and the delivery of secure, modern network solutions across a complex environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide Tier 2 network support, troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco VoIP systems (Call Manager, Contact Centre Express, Unity, VCS).
  • Support the deployment of SD-WAN, SASE, and Cisco ACI solutions across multiple sites.
  • Roll out and configure wireless access points & controllers for robust Wi-Fi coverage.
  • Assist with network hardware upgrades (switches, routers, cabling).
  • Manage network monitoring, performance analysis, and preventative maintenance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to field engineers and support teams.

About you:

  • 5–9 years' experience in network engineering/support.
  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco networking (CCNA/CCNP desirable).
  • Proven background in voice communication systems & AV conferencing.
  • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, F5 Load Balancers.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to liaise across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and a true team player with problem-solving mindset.
