Job Overview
The Desktop Home Assessing Team Leader guides and oversees the team, responsible for virtual assessments of impacted properties, cost validation, and end-to-end management of claims assigned to them.
Key Responsibilities
Embeds company culture with accountability and transparency.
Creates an operational setting that connects people to strategy delivery and risk management.
Manages complexity by identifying opportunities to improve operating rhythms that intertwine people, process, and systems.
Accelerates delivery and eliminates rework through disciplined execution, agility, and clear KPIs.
Develops team members in areas such as scoping accuracy, cost validation, compliance, project coordination, and virtual assessing software usage.
Coaching and Continuous Improvement
Provides continuous coaching on areas including scoping accuracy, cost validation, compliance, and project coordination.
Operates within and improves the Home Claims Operating Model through interpretation of operational reporting and analytical information.
People Leadership
Leads, monitors, and inspires the team to execute a high standard of service and process adherence.
Manages team members according to company policies and employment laws.
Demonstrates and advocates commitment to company values.
Guides and supports team members to enhance skills and achieve career goals.
Cost Control
Implements cost control strategies to deliver cost outcomes to plan.
Refines existing cost control strategies in line with business objectives.
Relationship Management
Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Performance and Progress Reporting
Provides on-the-ground insight to contribute to strategic and operational activities.
Tracks, monitors, and reports on KPIs to ensure productivity and quality metrics meet expectations.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Assessing or Building Industry.
Proven ability to lead, performance manage, coach, and mentor a team.
Strong change-agility and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
