Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the alignment of operational readiness outcomes and integration of the Cross River Rail into the wider public transport network.
- Work collaboratively with SMEs and other technical advisors across a range of disciplines to develop operational readiness responses, plans and strategies.
- Work closely with other areas on the CRRDA, particularly the Technical Assurance, Testing & Commissioning and Integrated Schedule teams to ensure operational readiness activities are coordinated and effective and, where required, to escalate and resolve issues.
- Work with QR and contractors to ensure operational readiness deliverables are produced and supplied to schedule.
- Proactively identify risks, issues and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies as required, related to the delivery of key sponsor requirements.
- Contribute towards the development, implementation and finalisation of the Cross River Rail Operational Readiness and the Route to Acceptance Strategy.
- Assist with the development and approval of safety accreditation for Rail Operations and Maintenance OMRs/SRACs/Ops Scenario.
- Provide SME insights into operational scenario workshops and other operational readiness plans and reports.
- Prepare and contribute to reports, presentations, submissions and correspondence on outcomes impacting operational and maintenance readiness requirements and/or change processes.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience contributing to operational readiness activities within large multi-agency infrastructure project delivery of transport networks and systems.
- Sound knowledge and experience in of rail network operations including the interface with track and civil concepts with proven experience providing analysis of, and solutions to, operational readiness or similar issues.
- Experience in management and interpretation of information provided from a diverse set of technical and operational sources with the ability to synthesise into clear and concise communications and reporting.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship management capabilities enabling effective engagement with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and with a proven ability to work with initiative and independence and as part of a team and adapt to meet sudden changes in expectations, priorities and deadlines.
- Proven ability to proactively identify risks, issues and opportunities, and developing mitigation strategies.
