Overview

Hansen Yuncken is looking for a People and Culture Advisor to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. In this standalone role, you'll lead HR operational activities across Queensland and Tasmania, backed by our national People & Culture team. Occasional travel to Tasmania will be required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and values-driven construction business. You'll take ownership of the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, recognition and reward, while working closely with leaders to shape how we support and grow our people. You will also work closely with the National People & Culture team to help shape HR programs and initiatives for the business.

This role is ideal for candidates with up to 5 years of experience – either a Coordinator ready to step up into an Advisor position, or an Advisor with approximately 2 years of experience.

What we're looking for:

  • HR experience as an Advisor or in a Generalist HR position
  • A proactive, self-starter who thrives in a hands-on role
  • Strong problem-solving skills and practical HR knowledge
  • Ability to work independently while staying connected to a collaborative national team
  • Passion for people and culture, with a focus on adding value
  • Experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft suite
