**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Processing vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Reviewing and verifying invoices and purchase orders for proper authorization and approval
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records
- Communicating with vendors to resolve payment and invoice issues
- Preparing and processing payments, including checks and electronic transfers
- Assisting with month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable ledgers
- Responding to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable matters
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, SAP)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to accounts payable
