About the Role:- Accurately process vendor invoices in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for proper authorization and approval, maintaining accurate records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, communicating effectively with vendors as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate vendor records, supporting efficient payment processes.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable ledgers, providing transparency and accountability.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable matters, offering prompt and professional assistance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality work products.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering collaboration and communication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building effective relationships with vendors and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, SAP), leveraging technology to enhance productivity.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices, applying this knowledge to support business operations.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to accounts payable, ensuring compliance and risk management.
