**Key responsibilities include**:
Influence employees and leaders implement safety improvement strategies and initiatives, and to solve safety problems.
Coach employees and leaders where appropriate on safety, security and environment related matters and initiatives.
Plan and organise safety / security / environment related programs and initiatives.
Monitor WH&S legislation, provide feedback and updates on a regular basis.
Manage Star Aviation's quality assurance program.
Manage Star Aviation's internal safety investigations.
Maintain appropriate relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Provide guidance and assistance to managers to assist in achieving defined key performance criteria including but not limited to audit performance and compliance, and operational safety performance.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Relevant Safety and/or Aviation qualifications.
Auditor training and/or qualification.
Investigator training and/or qualification.
Experience in a safety role, or similar role.
Working knowledge of Australian WH&S legislation.
Proficient utilisation of the Microsoft Office suite.
Superior observational skills and attention to detail.
Highly developed planning, organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Training design and/or delivery experience (desirable).
Working knowledge of Australian aviation regulations, and airport and airline operational policies and procedures (desirable).
Working knowledge of our clients ground handling, dangerous goods, security, and emergency response policies and procedures (desirable).
