Safety Specialist – Civil Construction
Full House is recruiting a Safety Specialist for a major infrastructure contractor. This role is hands-on, working directly with site teams, customers, and suppliers to keep people safe and projects moving. You'll combine mentoring, compliance, and on-site engagement to ensure safety is embedded in everything we do.
The role
You'll work alongside a safety leader who's highly system-focused, so your strength will be getting out on-site, talking to crews, spotting risks, and guiding safe work practices in real time. This is not a desk-only role you'll be moving between sites, building trust with teams, and ensuring the safety culture translates from policies to the ground.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct site-to-site safety inspections, verifications, and safety conversations.
- Be a visible presence in the field, mentoring crews and leading safety by example.
- Support existing safety systems and processes, ensuring they work on the ground.
- Help maintain ISO accreditations and compliance with WHS legislation and industry codes.
- Work with project teams to identify and manage risks before they become issues.
What you'll bring
- Strong background in civil construction, ideally with excavation experience.
- Proven ability to engage crews and contractors in a practical, relatable way.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes.
- Confidence working within existing safety systems while keeping focus on real-world application.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong relationship skills.
If you enjoy connecting with people, making a real difference on the ground, and keeping safety front of mind, this is your opportunity to join a financially stable business with strong growth ahead.
