**About the Role**:
**Responsibilities include**:

- Oversee and coordinate the management of performance and conduct in partnership with stakeholders to develop solutions relating to discipline, performance and conduct issues through effective research, analysis and consideration of the department's goals and objectives.
- Lead the provision of expert and professional advice, representation and consultancy services to clients in relation to performance and conduct to facilitate innovative business outcomes.
- Ensure the provision of training, coaching and consultancy services to senior management, corporate service units, regions and schools on managing issues relating to discipline and unsatisfactory performance.
- Foster the development of team members by providing leadership, guidance, coaching, ongoing assessment and feedback on performance.
- Engage effectively with managers across the organisation to develop an integrated approach to case management, and ensure a constant exchange of information and intelligence.
- Refine the performance and conduct review process to support broader reform, and facilitate a holistic and seamless approach to drive best-practice performance management.
- Lead the development and implementation of discipline, complaints and performance strategies and practices.
- Interpret situations relating to performance and conduct and consult, mediate, negotiate, resolve conflict, across a diverse and complex client base.
- Oversee and prepare complex reports, correspondence, briefing notes and submissions for senior and executive management, the Minister and other audiences on significant departmental issues.
