**The Opportunity**

HKA is seeking a dynamic and motivated Principal Consultant / Director to join our Advisory business in either Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney and lead our strategic advisory team. Joining our Executive Team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region.

As a market leader and expert in your field, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction and driving impactful client engagements. Leveraging your extensive industry knowledge and innovative mindset, you will lead a talented team of consultants to develop and implement cutting-edge strategies that deliver exceptional value to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Strategic reviews across any aspect of our clients' businesses and maturity assessments that help clients understand their capability to plan and deliver against their commitments.
- Providing strategic guidance to clients, leveraging industry insights and best practices to devise solutions to problems and to exploit opportunities.
- Supporting clients with investment decisions, governance processes and developing business cases.
- Industry and stakeholder engagement activities to support investment and operational decisions.
- Embedding and implementing organisational change.
- Leveraging HKA's market leading skillsets and broad infrastructure experience across project initiation, procurement, commercial, asset management, delivery and dispute resolution to bring practical industry insights.
- Leading and mentoring a team of strategy consultants, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Driving business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, participating in sales, and contributing to the development of proposals and presentations.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform and enhance our strategic offerings.
- Fostering strong client relationships by delivering exceptional value, maintaining a deep understanding of their businesses, and identifying opportunities for additional support and collaboration.

**Skills and Experience**

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, construction, asset management or other relevant discipline coupled with tuition in strategy and business transformation / optimisation.
- Strong experience in strategic reviews, strategy development, maturity assessments and implementation of organisational maturity development roadmaps and initiatives.
- A strategic mindset to understand the big picture and spot opportunities, experience utilising sound business consulting methodologies, innovative approaches to analyse and synthesize complex data, and knowledge of a range of solutions to exploit industry change and drive tangible results.
- Strong people leadership and management abilities, with demonstrated experience developing and leading high-performing teams and driving a culture of diversity and inclusivity.
- Strong infrastructure sector and client network, with keen understanding of industry trends, conventions, challenges and solutions to business problems.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, networking and people engagement skills and proven ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels in complex, dynamic environments.
- Strong commitment to continued learning and development, keeping pace with industry changes and actively seeking opportunities to improve yourself and HKA.
