Overview
Exciting opportunity for a mid-level lawyer to join a leading Litigation & Dispute Resolution team at a leading independent Australian law firm with a strong national presence.
Responsibilities
Act on a wide range of commercial disputes, including insolvency, regulatory compliance, defamation, IP, and white-collar crime
Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex, high-value litigation matters
Draft and prepare court documents, correspondence, and detailed legal advice
Appear in court and assist with advocacy as appropriate to your level
Build and manage client relationships through clear, commercial advice and effective communication
Contribute to the growth of the team and your own professional development through continuous learning and mentoring opportunities
Key Requirements
2–3 years' PAE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution, ideally gained at a mid or large-sized firm
Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset
A proactive, client-focused approach and strong relationship-building skills
Genuine passion for litigation and a drive to develop your career in disputes
