About the role
We are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors to service the Mackay area.
Part-Time and Casual positions are available.
Your main responsibilities will include collecting blood and other specimens from patients, including performing 24-hour Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring.
Skills and experience
Venipuncture experience with vacutainer method is essential
Collection of blood and other samples from patients
Experience with ABP and Holter monitors is preferred but not essential
Processing of pathology specimens
Ability to work independently and participate in weekend rosters at our collection centres
Clerical duties and processing paperwork
Own car and current driver's license are required
Effective communication with team members, referring doctors, and patients
Dedication to patient care and service delivery
Strong organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
Basic computer skills
Compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations
Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
