Position: Pathology Specimen Collectors (Please note that this is NOT a Courier Driver position)

Location: Mackay & Sarina, QLD

Employment Type: Part-time - 50 hours per fortnight, shifts between 6:30 am and 3 pm from Monday to Friday with occasional participation in Saturday rosters.

Hourly Rate: From $28.12, commensurate with experience

• Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.) from patients in a safe and professional manner.
• Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.
• Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the collection area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.

We greatly value candidates with customer service experience who will make patient care their number one priority. Other desirable skills and attributes you would have include:

• Previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors and /or a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection
• The confidence to work independently, sometimes in solo collection centres
• Efficient time management and problem-solving skills
• A willingness to learn new things and enjoy variety within their role
• A First Aid Certificate

Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.
