Overview

We are looking for a Pathology Collector to service Pathology clinic in Mackay. Part-Time or Casual position available.

Responsibilities
  • Your primary duties will be to take blood and other specimens from patients, including performing 24hr Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring.
  • Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
  • Processing of Pathology Specimens.
  • Clerical duties and processing paperwork.
  • Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients.
  • Ability to provide dedication to patient care and service delivery.
  • Demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills; prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comply with Work Health and Safety.
  • Own car and current driver licence is required.
  • Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres.
  • Vaccination and child safety requirements: Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19; Blue Card (Working with Children).
Skills and qualifications
  • Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
  • Experience in ABP and Holter monitors preferred but not essential.
  • Current Australian driver's licence; own car.
