Position descriptionWe are seeking enthusiastic experienced Hospital Pathology Collectors to join our team on Sydney's Lower North Shore. You will be an essential team member working in the hospital setting and your responsibilities will include the following:
- Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
- Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
- Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
- Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

Our ideal candidate:
- Is open to working part time hours on a Saturday & Sunday plus weekdays, between 6am to 8pm.
- Is passionate about healthcare and committed to providing excellent care and service to patients and doctors
- A hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic
- Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level attention to detail and record keeping skills.

Prior to commencement, all candidates must provide documentary evidence of the following:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Commitment to annual influenza vaccination and serological confirmation of protection /commencement of other required vaccinations.
A National Police Check, Working with Children Check clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) will be required prior to commencement.
Please note, we require a minimum commitment of 15-20 hours per week. During the training period, you will need to attend full time training for three weeks.
