**About the role**
To support our success we are looking for a Manager, Specialist Services to join the Operations team based in Brisbane.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the operational specialist functions within the Operations business unit, specifically in relation to data stewardship, financial processing and Defined Benefit administration responsibilities. You will also oversee the optimisation of resources through capacity planning, driving simplification, efficiency and automation to enable sustainable growth and scale. This role will see you bring high quality customer experiences to life through the leadership and management of a customer centric and outcome focused team.
Working closely with the Senior Manager, Specialist and Support Services and the Operations leadership team, you will proactively support customer experience, growth, operational excellence and service delivery whilst considering the overall goals and performance standards of the Operations business unit, risk parameters, financial measures and customer experience.
This role is available as a **permanent** opportunity.
We are **flexible** with location provide you can attend our **Brisbane** office at least once a week.
**About you**
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications will include:
- Demonstrated experience in a management role within the Financial Services industry, ideally dealing with superannuation products and member and intermediary services.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of superannuation, including legislation, regulations, and market trends.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, develop appropriate strategies and plans, and provide expert advice on industry, competitor, member and product trends and issues in a complex environment.
- Strong, demonstrated experience in the leadership of service operations teams including coaching people leaders to develop, support and contribute to team's success.
- Awareness of technical aspects of contemporary business systems environments including web technologies, client/server technologies and database environments.
- Appreciation of Release Management principles and Project Management methodologies and governance.
- Understanding of continuous business process improvement frameworks.
