This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with customers in a Collections capacity, while also having some variety from supporting other local finance activities as needed. The role is part-time working a 30-hour week which can be arranged across a 4- or 5-day work week.

**The role**:
As the Collections Officer, your responsibilities will be:

- communicate effectively with customers to follow up and coordinate payment of accounts
- work closely with sales team regarding customer queries and issues related to collections
- manage blocked orders
- manage customer payment remittance and allocation
- process refunds/credits
- liaise with debt collection agency as needed and monitor progress
- maintain payment and customer data in systems

In supporting other finance team activities, you may:

- liaise between local team, suppliers and 3rd party for accounts payable queries
- assist in preparing journal entries and financial reports
- participate in ad hoc projects

**Your experience and skills**:
To be successful in this role, you bring the following:

- B2B collections experience
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to handle and overcome objections
- Ability to work autonomously
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Exposure to mainframe computer processes in an accounts receivable role (SAP is an advantage)
