**The Opportunity**
The Lead Risk Specialist will be responsible for the deployment of Risk Management frameworks across KBR's customer programs and projects with a focus on designing and implementing robust risk management systems for our customers and frameworks to upskill internal PMO resources.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the consistent implementation of project risk management practices in compliance with corporate polices, client requirements and business strategies
- Consistent implementation of project risk management philosophies, policies, training, and procedures across pre-award through post-award project execution phases for client facing engagements
- Collaborate with other stakeholder on JV's/ Alliances to develop a fit for purpose Risk Management framework on program of work and ensure ongoing maintenance and compliance
- Identify root causes to problems and provide improvement solutions using a risk based approach
- Promote a pro-active 'Best in Class Risk Awareness" culture that integrates PRM in all project-related processes and is actively applied through to project completion including training, guidance and support to meet KBR values such that the management of risk and opportunity is at the forefront of every project decision
- Administrate, advise, and review all specific risk requirements including KBR and Project/Client Reviews and associated reports, facilitating risk identification workshops, assisting in cost and schedule probabilistic analysis and recommending contingencies values for bids and proposals
- Engage with clients to undertake Risk assessments, facilitate workshops and provide advisory services utilizing a variety of risk modelling techniques to suit their business needs
- Implement industry best practises for Risk management across KBR projects and customer engagements

**Qualifications and experience**
- Strong background within a business management or consulting organisation.
- An undergraduate degree in a risk, project management, technical, engineering or equivalent discipline
- High degree of experience in project risk management
- An understanding of risk management principles and Australian standards
- Strong report writing skills
- Strong communication skills required for internal and external engagements
