**Description**

We're seeking an experienced Risk Specialist to join our dynamic Insights & Analytics team. This critical role within our Risk, Compliance & Controls Enablement (RCCE) function is key to guiding and supporting the identification, treatment, and management of risks across our Data, Digital & Innovation initiatives.

You'll play a vital role in enhancing information and data security for RACQ, contributing significantly to our overall risk management capability and culture.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Drive the discovery, reduction, and monitoring of risks across our Data, Digital & Innovation functions to protect RACQ's valuable data.
- Promote Risk Excellence: Act as a key advocate for sound risk management, improving understanding and competence in risk across Data, Digital & Innovation and the broader RACQ organisation.
- Maintain Compliance & Transparency: Produce detailed risk reports for DDI, swiftly resolve urgent concerns, and ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and data governance rules.
- Build Strategic Connections: Develop and nurture strong working relationships within Data, Digital & Innovation and across other key areas of the business such as Technology, Group Risk, Procurement, and Legal to achieve seamless risk and compliance alignment.
- Offer expert advice and support on data management risk, conduct comprehensive evaluations of data controls, and lead efforts to enhance our risk management capabilities.

About you:

- You'll bring a robust background in risk management
- You possess in-depth understanding of data management risk, governance environments, and a practical grasp of Australian Privacy laws and regulations.
- You have demonstrated experience navigating APRA standards (e.g., CPG 235 Managing Data Risk) and other relevant data/security regulations, with a proven ability to ensure compliance and oversee control testing.
- You excel at analysing intricate data, extracting actionable insights, formulating recommendations, and communicating complex information clearly across all organisational levels.
- You're skilled at fostering strong working relationships, influencing key stakeholders, effectively managing diverse workloads, and leading initiatives.
