The Team:
The Acute Care Team (ACT) is specifically designed to provide triage, assessment, and short-term care and treatment for newly referred persons in the community for a period of up to 6 weeks. ACT primarily focuses on the acute care needs of individuals with an episode of mental ill-health. ACT a highly dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment and is operational seven days a week between 08:00 and 22:00.
The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, delivering person centred, recovery oriented and trauma informed care.
You will need:
Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of consumer goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, to commence as soon as possible.
notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications
Previous experience in leadership roles
