Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead - TEDS - (528724L1).
The position will also be advertised for an Allied Health Professional (528724L1d) and will be filled on a merit basis.
Tasmania Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) delivers integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder, including Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, North West and South, and a statewide Residential Recovery Program (RRP).
TedS is part of a nationwide program of work delivering innovations in the treatment of eating disorders.
We are looking for clinicians with an interest in eating disorders who are innovators and have a passion for delivering quality care.
The Role
The Clinical Lead will provide clinical leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the TEDS South, enabling the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care.
This includes the provision of:
Leadership and direction in the development and management of a multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist community intensive based treatment for adults with an eating disorder.
Optimising clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
Effective management of human and physical resources.
Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate TEDS service development statewide and at a regional level, including the development and implementation of the model of care and relevant SMHS and service policies, procedures and guidelines.
Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service, including quality, safety and improvement activities and service development co-design initiatives.
Facilitate the implementation of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan and develop and maintain effective collaborative working arrangements and relationships with key stakeholders.
Eligibility, Qualifications and Desirable Criteria
Essential
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital based program that lead to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.
Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable
A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in mental health or relevant field.
Experience and/or interest in working with people experiencing eating disorders or other mental health conditions.
Experience in clinical and professional supervision Eating Disorder Credentialed practitioner
Current Driver's Licence.
Details of appointment
Fixed term part time, day worker position, working up to 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 4 August 2026.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata).
Employer 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type may be available.
Travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas appointees and up to $10,000 for interstate appointees.
