The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist based in Hobart. This position is also advertised as an Allied Health Professional and one position will be filled on merit. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in delivering evidence-based therapies and assessments within mental health or a relevant sector. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their support systems.
Our AimThe CYMHS in Tasmania is growing. We are seeking passionate clinicians to deliver therapeutic services in partnership with young people experiencing mental health concerns. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have a passion for a person-centred approach within a multidisciplinary team and for delivering high-level clinical care.
Responsibilities- Be part of a dynamic, well-supported team committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to young people aged 16-24 who are experiencing mental health issues.
- Undertake clinical services through assessment, individual therapies, and potentially group programs.
- Collaborate with team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to refine new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
- Work with a diverse group of clinicians as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation to other team members as required.

Requirements and Qualifications- Essential: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration
- Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times while employed in this role; status may be checked at any time during employment. If circumstances change, employees must advise the Employer, including any revocation, cancellation, or altered conditions.
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience relevant to the role
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role
- Current Driver's Licence
Permanent full-time, day worker position, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. The selection process may be used for subsequent or similar vacancies for twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary and BenefitsSalary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Post-Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type may be available. Salary Packaging is available with benefits up to $9,010 living expenses plus $2,650 in meal entertainment per FBT year and other eligible benefits.

- Registered with NMBA as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in relevant areas
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards one
- Current Driver's Licence
