
Clinical Leadership Nurse Specialist

The Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIU) is a specialist care facility located within the Royal Hobart Hospital, providing intensive care to adults with serious mental illness across southern Tasmania.
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care that is grounded in best practice principles and collaborative frameworks.
- Working closely with senior healthcare professionals, you will be responsible for managing staff resources and providing operational leadership through effective patient care activities.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership, exercising sound professional judgement, and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Contributing to the ongoing evaluation, innovation, and development of services, as well as reviewing clinical practice policy and protocols.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the business success of the unit/service.
