About You:

As a Clinical Nurse Orthopaedic you will play a key role in combining hands-on clinical work with specialty leadership, focusing on scrubbing and scouting for lower limb orthopaedic procedures. You will provide education, mentorship, and support to nursing staff, helping to build competence within the orthopaedic area. You will also bring the following :

  • Registered General Nurse with AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Nursing qualification
  • Minimum of 4 years post-registration nursing experience, including recent scrub/scout theatre experience
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in orthopaedic perioperative nursing, specifically in the lower limb specialty
  • Strong clinical competence in patient-centred care, infection control, and theatre safety standards
  • Ability to provide leadership, education, and mentorship to nursing staff
  • Effective communication skills with surgeons, multidisciplinary teams, and patients
