Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north east of Melbourne and state-wide. The Austin Health Foundation has an opportunity to join our energetic and committed team (full time or part time position negotiable).

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the Philanthropic Grants Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Austin Health's Trust and Foundations fundraising strategy.

This position is made for a highly organised and skilled writer who is passionate about working on transformational projects in healthcare. Ideally, you will have a track record of success in the philanthropic grants space - but equally you may be a scientist or researcher looking for a change, or a communications specialist who knows how to tell compelling stories around the impact of leading research and public health projects.

This position is perfect for a 'people' person - building genuine and long-lasting relationships is key to success. The role is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with funding partners as well as work with executives, clinicians and medical staff at Austin Health to identify grant opportunities that meet the needs of the funder and the strategic priorities for Austin Health.

High level computing skills and an understanding of the importance of a donor database are also essential.
