**The Company**:
We are proud to be exclusively partnering with one of the largest aged care and retirement living owners, operators, and developers in Australia. This well-funded organisation is looking to further strengthen its existing property development team due to its continued commitment to the growth of its property portfolio and the redevelopment of its existing assets.
**The Role**:
This role will appeal to an existing Assistant Development Manager or an Architect, Project Manager, or Planner, who is looking to work on a diverse range of vertical villages and/or master-planned communities in the growing aged care and retirement living sector.
In this role, you will be collaborating with the Development Manager in driving operational, financial, marketing, design, planning, and delivery outcomes across the full development lifecycle of high-rise vertical villages and master-planned communities that integrate independent living units (Villas), low rise assisted living facilities and communal areas and facilities.
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Development Manager are as follows:
- Assist in the upfront process on specific projects including options analyses, market appraisals, product development, financial feasibilities, master planning, and conceptual analysis;
- Assist in the design approach on specific projects with respect to aged care practices and building typology that meets resident's needs, market expectations, and organisational requirements;
- Assist in managing the macro and the micro design on specific projects to ensure a product that meets the brief is achieved at all times;
- Assist in ensuring the consent process is proactively managed for specific projects at both local and State Government levels to ensure timely consent and value-added results are achieved;
- Assist in ensuring that external consultants/contractors on specific projects perform at the highest levels possible by creating the right culture, selecting the right project team, and following internal processes;
- Assist in ensuring project delivery meets all key performance outcomes, namely: time, cost, quality, scope, procurement, communication, people management, risk and integration.

**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline;
- An understanding of the aged care and community industry and the changing environments would be highly advantageous;
- A practical knowledge of the planning consent processes in NSW and relevant legislation, with feasibility, design, and documentation skills gained in related sectors (such as health, hospitality, and residential);
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of the property industry and its laws and regulations as they operate in NSW;
- Proven people management, stakeholder, and communication skills (written and verbal);
- Professional and highly driven individual with the ability to adapt to change and work effectively within a supportive and collaborative team environment;
