Role Purpose

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of current and upcoming projects. This role will focus on tendering, procurement, consultant coordination, and Construction Certificate (CC) documentation, while providing broad office-based support to the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tendering & Procurement

  • Prepare and issue tender packages to subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Manage tender queries and compile comparative analysis of quotes.
  • Support negotiations and award recommendations.
  • Construction Certificate (CC) & Pre-Construction

  • Coordinate with consultants, certifiers, and council for CC documentation.

  • Track CC approval checklists and ensure timely submissions.
  • Project Coordination

  • Assist the Project Manager with program updates, site coordination, and reporting.

  • Liaise with consultants and subcontractors to resolve design/documentation issues.
  • Attend site meetings as required and prepare minutes.
  • Office & Project Support

  • Maintain project registers (drawings, RFI, shop drawings, variations).

  • Support the preparation of project reports, budgets, and correspondence.
  • Assist with compliance records, insurances, and quality documentation.
Skills & Attributes
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 2–5 years' experience in construction/project delivery (developer or builder background preferred).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Good understanding of tendering, subcontractor procurement, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.
