**About the Role**
Bankstown Sports is one of Australia's largest and most innovative registered clubs, and we are looking for a Roster Assistant to join the Rostering team on a full time basis. Working as part of the People and Culture Team and reporting to the Rostering Manager, you will be responsible for coordination of staffing needs across the club on a day-to-day basis. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, highly organised and an effective communicator. This role will also require you to liaise with all departments to develop a cost-effective roster that meets the operational needs of the club.
This role will include working predominantly core business hours, and will be expected to participate in a rotating weekend roster with other members of the rostering team
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Demonstrating our Culture values; Surprise and Delight, Team Player and 'Can do' Attitude
- Ensure rosters are prepared in accordance with Enterprise Agreement and approved skill qualifications, policies and procedures
- A strategic and analytical approach towards rostering needs
- Making adjustments to rosters from daily leave information to coordinate operational staffing requirements that our Enterprise Agreement, budgetary requirements, policies and procedures and statutory requirements are adhered to
- Responding quickly, and effectively, to roster changes and liaising with all key stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency including participation in regular operational meetings
- Conducting welfare checks
- Assist with the maintenance of database records
- Monitor daily attendance and investigate and understand causes for staff absences & replace absences
- Completion of administrative tasks associated with preparation of rosters
- Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Assist with the maintenance of database records for all team members inclusive of all leave, absenteeism, turnover, team member movements and resignations
- Produce and process all reports, leave requests and availability changes
**Essential Criteria**:

- Strong commitment to confidentiality of personal information
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Sense of urgency
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Effective stakeholder management
- Must be flexible working outside core business hours
- RSA & RCG Competency Cards - Or be willing to obtain
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or business related discipline or working towards obtaining
- Experience using Rostering Management Software
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Knowledge of Ceridian / Dayforce (Workforce Management)
