The Rostering Assistant is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective scheduling of staff to meet operational needs. This role involves creating and managing rosters, ensuring adequate coverage, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies, employment laws, and relevant industry standards. The Rostering Assistant will work closely with team members, managers, and clients to ensure smooth coordination and resolve any scheduling conflicts.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Roster Management**:

- Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating staff rosters to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure rosters comply with employee availability, contract terms, and relevant regulations.
- **Staff Coordination**:

- Communicate rostered shifts to employees promptly.
- Respond to staff inquiries about rosters and resolve scheduling issues or conflicts.
- Coordinate shift replacements in case of last-minute changes, absences, or emergencies.
- **Database and System Management**:

- Update and maintain accurate employee details in the rostering system.
- Ensure records of hours worked are accurate for payroll processing.
- **Compliance and Reporting**:

- Monitor compliance with workplace agreements, award requirements, and company policies.
- Generate and distribute reports related to rosters, shift coverage, and overtime.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**:

- Work closely with managers and team leaders to understand staffing needs.
- Liaise with clients or service users to ensure adequate staff allocation and service delivery.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify and recommend improvements to rostering processes for greater efficiency.
- Stay updated with changes in workplace regulations and standards.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
