About Our Client

This large organisation operates within the print media industry, offering innovative and robust solutions. With a strong presence in the market, they are committed to delivering excellence in their logistics operations.

Responsibilities

- Carrier Management: Oversee relationships with 3-5 transport carriers per state, ensuring service quality, cost efficiency, and operational alignment with business goals
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse carrier performance against key metrics including delivery timeliness, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all carriers adhere to national transport regulations, safety standards, and company-specific compliance protocols
- KPI Development and Reporting: Define, implement, and report on transport KPIs across regions, driving continuous improvement and accountability
- Process Optimisation: Identify and execute opportunities to streamline transport operations, reduce risk, and enhance service delivery through data-driven insights

The Successful Applicant

- Proven experience in transport or logistics management, ideally overseeing multiple carriers across diverse regions
- Strong understanding of Australian transport regulations, compliance standards, and safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to track, analyse, and improve performance using KPIs and operational metrics
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence carrier performance and resolve issues
