**General Manager - Community Initiatives**
**Permanent, Full Time - Based in Villawood**
- Woodville Alliance Ltd (WA) is a not-for-profit, place-based agency working in Western Sydney. We have operated for over forty years and provide a broad range of children's, family, youth, mental health, disability and early intervention services in a vibrant, diverse and disadvantaged community._

The Community Initiatives Team (CIT) is responsible for a variety of child, youth and family community programs including early intervention programs focusing on improving the lives of 0-18-year olds and their families, services supporting children and young people (aged 0-18 years) who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing a mental illness and the Carramar Early Childhood Education and Care Centre. The Community Initiatives team consists of 35 staff, with 5 direct reports to the General Manager.

**POSITION OBJECTIVES**

This role is a member of the Leadership Team, reports to the CEO and has the following primary objectives;
- Provide leadership and strategic and operational management of the Community Initiatives Team
- Develop new business opportunities, partnerships and relationships to continue the growth of new and existing services
- Contribute to leadership and strategy across WA, as a member of the Leadership Team
- Adopt effective people management strategies which promote a positive staff and client culture

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Tertiary qualifications in human services or related field
- At least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership capacity, including staff, financial and change management and effective people and culture management
- Extensive experience in the development, delivery and oversight of evidence based, prevention and early intervention programs, including child, youth and family services and mental health
- Proven business development track record and entrepreneurial skills
- Demonstrated high level external relations and networking skills
- Demonstrated high-level written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated superior skills in mediation, negotiation, collaboration and consultation
- Commitment to social justice principles and ethical practice
- A current NSW Driver's Licence
- A current and verified Working with Children Check and National Police Check
