Permanent Part Time position located in Wagga Wagga Don't miss your opportunity to be a Lifestyle Officer in our Caloola Centre Excellent job security with an industry leading NFP About the role As the Lifestyle Officer/Recreation Activities Officer you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident's choices and independence.
In running recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.
This role is a part time position and can offer 29 hours per fortnight.
About Baptistcare Caloola Centre Nestled in the peaceful and scenic bushland of Wagga Wagga, Caloola Centre provides quality, specialist support to a well-loved community on beautifully landscaped gardens neaby to the shops, clubs, and church.
The facility provides quality, palliative care as well as security for those living with dementia.
This includes our newly built sensory garden, delivering a safe and stimulating outdoor space for clients.
Skills and experience You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete) Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable) You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers License and will be able to take clients on outings Senior First Aid Certificate is essential You have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting You have highly developed organisation and time management skills You have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes Why Join Us?
