Tweed Shire Council, the largest Council on the north coast of New South Wales, has an annual budget of approximately $192 million, it is the largest employer in the Tweed with a workforce of approximately 700 employees across a wide range of programs and services. The role of **Manager Inclusive and Creative Communities **is to support the provision of high-quality services, programs, engagement, and development through the Unit, consistent with strategic directions set by Council. The role provides strategic leadership and coordination to implement programs through policies, standards, practices, and systems as well as providing authoritative advice on complex issues of strategic and /or operational importance. The portfolio includes Community Development, Community Facilities, Art Galleries, Regional Museum and Cemeteries.
The role has responsibility to manage the inclusive and creative assets, programs and services provided by Council to meet the needs of communities in the Tweed Shire. The position is part of the Corporate Management Team and is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams.
Specific knowledge and competencies will include:
- Develop, implement, and communicate strategic plans, policies, and objectives in accordance with Council's Community Strategic Plan, Delivery and Resourcing plans.
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and vision for the Unit consistent with the broad strategic direction for program policies, standards, and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in planning activities consistent with Council's Project Management framework, annual Service Planning, Council Activity Plan, and through proactive cross-organisation engagement and collaboration.
- Demonstrated strong budget and financial management experience.
- Ensure appropriate consultation with community and development of strategies and programs to meet the social needs of the Shire.
- A strong track record of managing key stakeholder relationships with pragmatism, kindness, and integrity.

- and long-term targets. Experience and expertise in team performance, strategic planning, community engagement, contract management and performance reporting will be important for this role.
