What you will do

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Manage, coach, support and lead a small team of media and communications

professionals and work collaboratively with others to provide excellent service
delivery.
- Manage and oversee media and communication issues and hot topics across the

organisation and provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on those activities.
- Manage and maintain internal and external communication at a fast pace, across

digital and other channels ensuring communications are high quality, consistent,
accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
- Work collaboratively with senior management and key stakeholders to deliver a

range of media and communication services including proactive media releases and
opportunities, reactive media management, strategic messaging, public information
and communications plans.
- Research, write and distribute content for a range of platforms including web,

media, blogs, podcasts and social media channels.
- Maximise the visibility and positive perception and reputation of DAF.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external media professionals to identify and

develop engaging and relevant content about DAF.
- Be part of a roster to undertake out-of-hours public information and media liaison.
- Develop and implement frameworks and systems to remain current and innovate

in an ever-changing communications and media landscape, and to support current
and future directions of DAF.
- Foster a culture of agility, cohesiveness, and empowerment.
