The Opportunity

Category Specialist - Travel & Expense

The role has primary responsibility for development, implementation and execution of operational strategies and a program roadmap related to Toll's Travel and Expense (T&E) program. This program includes but is not limited to travel management companies (TMC), air, hotel, car, corporate credit cards, meetings, events, expense management, and other T&E related services. This must be done in accordance with Group and Procurement policies and procedures and support the strategic and operational objectives of the broader procurement services team and carried out in line with Group 'One Toll' strategy.

This is a permanent full-time role based out of Toll groups head office in St Kilda Road Melbourne.

As the Category Specialist, you will:
- Manage operational and contractual relationships with vendors, including review and analysis of supplier performance, ensuring effectiveness of suppliers to ensure contract KPIs/SLAs are achieved.- Generate reporting to help the Group understand value generated from activity, compliance with agreed supplier contracts and identify opportunities and actions for improvement.- Coordinate the engagement of program suppliers across the Group and drive the ongoing improvement of the program.- Make informed decisions that impact the program positively across Safety & Security, Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion, User Experience, Accessibility, Health & Wellbeing.- Promote relationships to enhance communication, information exchange and understanding both internally the business and with preferred suppliers.- Work with the Business Units and suppliers to identify and introduce innovation to enhance productivity, profitability and customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience managing or significant input in the management of a large T&E program.- Over 5 years track record delivering significant outcomes and improvements in business processes.- Ability to demonstrate sound commercial and operational acumen.- Managing supplier relationships and contractual obligations.- Ability to document, present options and recommendations to support decision making.- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
