Job Title: Category Development Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building category and customer strategies that effectively meet the needs of consumers and retailers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category strategies that drive business growth and retention
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform product development and promotional plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership on category performance and opportunities for improvement
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within FMCG
  • A qualification in sales or business (degree or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, particularly with regards to consumer insights
  • Experience in building strategies into commercial action
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create narratives using data
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and problem-solve effectively
