THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Category Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting procurement strategy, managing contracts, and ensuring vendor compliance. You'll also lead smaller procurement projects independently and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This role spans a wide range of spend categories including HVAC, mechanical and electrical services, plumbing, building services, vertical transport, spare parts, and indirect procurement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development of procurement strategies.
  • Assist with tendering, contract negotiations, and documentation for large projects.
  • Manage vendor compliance and performance.
  • Lead smaller procurement projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly team reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Deliver cost savings while meeting operational requirements.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • A degree in Commerce, Finance, Procurement or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year in a procurement/contract environment or 3+ years in office administration.
  • Experience with document management (preferred)
  • Strong numerical, analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Full Australian working rights.
