About this key role
Hudson partners with a leading Australian retail organisation on a digital transformation program. We seek a technical leader with strong loyalty experience to shape and deliver modern, scalable digital solutions.
You will contribute to the digital architecture focusing on headless and microservices-based solutions, ensuring decoupling of front-end and back-end systems. You'll work closely with tech leads, DevOps, and external vendors, providing hands-on architectural contributions, guiding technical decisions, and balancing trade-offs for business and technical outcomes.
You'll join a tight-knit, collaborative team valuing open communication and a growth mindset. The culture encourages sharing ideas, exploring new approaches, and driving collective outcomes for the organisation.
This assignment is based in Melbourne, initially as a 6-month contract with a high possibility for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Design scalable, secure, and high-performing digital architectures.
Drive adoption of headless architecture and microservices patterns across eCommerce platforms.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions.
Evaluate architectural options, considering performance, cost, and long-term sustainability.
Provide guidance and oversight during solution implementation.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in Loyalty space.
Extensive hands-on experience in technical architecture, particularly with AWS services and microservices.
Strong knowledge of headless architecture and experience in decoupling front-end and back-end systems.
Deep understanding of microservice architecture and its large-scale implementation.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, influencing both technical and business outcomes.
Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcome-focused approach.
