Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead technical initiatives, grow our engineering culture, and drive architectural decisions. This role requires a leader with strong skills, a deep understanding of scalable software development, and expertise in ensuring technical integrity and quality.

">Responsibilities
  • Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with our architecture and technical standards.
  • Champion DevOps culture and uplift engineering practices across teams.
  • Lead resolution of production incidents and drive platform health.
  • Write clean, secure, well-tested code using modern tools and patterns.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers on planning, prioritisation, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Architecture, Product, and Security to deliver technical solutions.
  • Foster talent retention and support effective growth of engineers in the team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining system or platform health aligned to key technical metrics.
  • Experience leading the creation and execution of technical roadmaps in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong technical decision-making skills with a track record of delivering outcomes end-to-end.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience guiding and mentoring engineers, supporting their growth and career development.
  • Contributions to technical transformation initiatives within teams or across organisations.
  • Active engagement in recruiting, growing, and connecting engineers to internal or external communities.
