**The Opportunity on Offer**
As the Acting Residence Manager you will manage, monitor and deliver on all expected outcomes as per the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC), other regulatory requirements, Human Resources and Financial Management for our Home in Queanbeyan.
**How you will make an Impact**
You will initially report to the Head of Group Operations and be a key member of the NSW leadership team. Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Role Model - Acting as a role model for the organisation, providing dynamic leadership to achieve efficient and effective management of human, material and fiscal resources according to the Strategic Plan and budgetary imperatives.
- Emergency Response - Remaining on call in case of emergencies and immediately directing any media inquiries to the Head of Group Operations.
- Compliance - Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including effective operation of the organisation's procedures and quality management system.
- Human Resources - In partnership with the Director of Nursing, ensuring all staff are suitably qualified, compliant, experienced and trained to perform their duties.
- Purchasing & Asset Management - Ensuring effective purchasing and asset management occurs within the organisational budget and is endorsed by the appropriate organisational delegates.
- Reputation - Ensuring a positive reputation within the community is maintained. Including - ensuring the rights of Residents are provided and follow up of concerns raised by Residents or their families.
**About You**
You are an individual who can demonstrate a strong track record in effectively leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams. You are passionate about aged care and can adapt to the ever-changing requirements within the sector.
Essential
- Undergraduate, graduate or post graduate qualifications in Management or appropriate business qualifications. (Working towards same or significant industry may be considered).
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in Residential Aged Care.
- Experience in the re-accreditation process and related assessment visits conducted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC).
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Act 1997 and subordinate principles.
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument ((AN-ACC).
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and expected outcomes.
- The ability to write business cases, reports and regulatory responses.
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current Covid-19 Vaccinations
