About This Role

This position is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors by leading and organising recreational activities that cater to their diverse needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging activity programs that promote social interaction, creativity, and overall well-being among elderly residents.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect by ensuring individualised care plans are tailored to meet each resident's unique requirements, values, spiritual beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Possess a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Experience working with people who have dementia would be highly beneficial
  • Hold a valid NSW/ACT Driver's License and be able to transport clients on outings
  • Hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience in caring for the elderly within an aged or community care setting is essential
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Have a solid understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and desired outcomes
