Our client a Local Council is looking for an **experienced maintenance planning officer **which will help in relation to a number of building maintenance/facilities contracts which need to be reviewed, issued to the market, awarded and once contractors appointed, their performance monitored.

**Pay rate**:$45.84 per hour working fulltime hours Monday to Friday as a Casual

**About our client and role**

Our client is located in the Cheltenham area in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne and requires a Maintenance Planning Officer to help scope, plan and implement maintenance and compliance works.

The position holder will be responsible for auditing contractor performance and for ensuring effective communication and co-ordination with stakeholders/users.

**You will require**:

- A Building Trades or Architectural qualification (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience in building facilities maintenance, asset management and construction
- Knowledge of relevant Standards, Codes of Practice, OH&S, ESM Regulations, etc.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Experience in contract supervision
- Clear Police and Working with Children Check
- Experience in the use and development of propriety asset management and maintenance systems is desirable
- Project management qualification is desirable
