Delivering high-quality planned maintenance services is crucial to Wyndham City Council's facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and lead the lifecycle of planned maintenance programs with external contractors.
  • Supervise and support a Planned Maintenance Officer, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional development.
  • Act as the key liaison for all planned maintenance contractors, managing relationships and ensuring statutory requirements are met.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, codes, and safety regulations in all planned maintenance activities.
  • Monitor contractor works, maintaining accurate records and system entries to meet compliance requirements.
  • Support service delivery goals by managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling contract costs using TechnologyOne.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Asset Management, or Building Services, or extensive industry experience (10+ years) in a similar role.
  • Strong experience coordinating planned maintenance programs and managing contractors in compliance-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of Victorian building legislation, statutory requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage service contracts, interpret terms, and resolve performance issues diplomatically.
  • Proficiency in TechnologyOne or similar systems for managing work orders, budgets, and compliance documentation.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience developing team members and operational workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills, balancing competing priorities and maintaining service delivery.
  • Certifications include a Victorian Driver's Licence, Construction Induction Card, and Working with Children Check.
